Job Description

Operating Room Nurses are responsible for caring for patients throughout the surgical process. This includes ensuring patients are prepared for surgery and providing information on outcomes and potential outcomes of procedures.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience required
• Circulating Experience: Required
• Holidays: Must be able to work some holidays during the assignment
• Traveler Experience: Recent traveler experience is highly preferred
• Scheduling: No special scheduling requirements

• Work History
• Skills Checklist (current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty)
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms (taken within the last two years)
• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Oklahoma State License or compact
  • BLS - AHA
  • NIH, PALS, ACLS - AHA

Additional Information

• Orientation:

  • Allied and Therapy Travelers start orientation on Tuesdays.
  • Nursing Travelers start orientation on Thursdays.
  • Approximately 6 hours of modules to complete prior to start.
  • Completion of modules before the start date may result in compensation.
• Call Policy: On-call pay is $2 per hour with a 1-hour minimum.
• Local Policy: Applicants within 50 miles of Comanche County will be considered for placement at a reduced rate.
