Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Days)

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies and procedures.
• Direct co-workers in implementing the patient’s plan of care.
• Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process:

  • Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately.
  • Develop and implement plans of care based on patient assessments.
  • Evaluate patient responses and update plans of care.
  • Oversee delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff.
• Patient population includes General Med/Surg (Oncology, Obstetrics, Hospice, Medical & Surgical Patients).
• Target patient ratio: 1:4/5 to 1:7.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Med Surg experience.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required.
• Med/Surg Observation experience required.
• Recent travel work experience is highly preferred (prior travel experience not explicitly required but favored).
• Will not accept more than 3 days of Return to Office (RTO).
• Must be within a 50-mile radius for this 13-week contract (local candidates preferred).

Credentials & Documentation

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Med Surg, current within 1 year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
