Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care (ICU)

Job Description

• ICU Registered Nurse with recent 2 years of experience and training
• Must be willing to float to other units within scope (e.g., Emergency Department for holds, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• PALS certification within 30 days of hire for units admitting pediatric patients
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• RN-C certification within 2 years of hire preferred

Required Onboarding Credentials & Compliance

• COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 vaccines plus booster or completed declination
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not done onsite)
• Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Influenza Vaccine or declination (required November 1 - March 31)
• TB Test within 1 year of start date
• Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Physical/Health Statement annually, stating clearance to work
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Skills Checklist
• Prime Color-blind Test (annual, Relias accepted)
• National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start date
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80% score)
• Workplace Violence Prevention Training (DCI/BVP)
• Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
• Prime OIG Exclusion Check
• Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel including THC saliva test for CA) within 60 days of start
• Agency Attestation (completed last, matching credential dates)
• SAM/EPLS Exclusion Search

Additional Notes

• Must maintain all certifications and health requirements throughout assignment
• Some exams and trainings are available through Relias or similar platforms
• Declinations for certain vaccines are not accepted at this facility
• Physical/Health Statement must be current and state the nurse is cleared to work
