Registered Nurse — Coronary Care ICU

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• 36 hours per week
• 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• ACLS
• CVICU (2 years of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Driver's License
• Strong IV skills
• ED - Emergency Department experience
• Neuro ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN
• CVICU experience

Unit Details

• 24-bed CTICU/CVICU
• High-acuity cardiac ICU setting
• Common patient types include cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, ECMO, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, and TAVR
• High number of 1:1 assignments
• Charge nurse has no patient assignment
• 2 PCTs on days and nights with high census
• Intensivist present during days and on call at night
• RT and pharmacy available 24/7

Additional Notes

• Travelers cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
• Must be away from CommonSpirit for 12 months as permanent staff to be eligible
• No facial piercings and natural hair colors only
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• First to float to ICU, MS, or Tele
• May float to Westgate or AZ General Laveen
• Navy scrubs required
