Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS certification
• Able to care for a wide variety of patients
• Driver’s license required at submittal
• Must be outside the 50-mile radius
• Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity

Preferred

• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor experience

Clinical Details

• Common patient types include cardiology, surgical oncology, urology, and complex general med surg patients
• Ratios are 1:5-6
• RN must be able to read basic strips
• Telemetry is on the unit
• Centralized monitoring techs are on the unit
• Common titratable or set-rate drip: IVF
• Respiratory equipment includes nasal cannula, less than 6L if acute, and trach collar

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Self-scheduling, with manager balancing the unit
• Every other weekend
• Holidays required
• No call or standby
• Floating per skill level

Orientation

• 1-2 days

Additional Notes

• Academic institute; willingness to teach and learn is expected
• Pass/fail exam during orientation for RNs
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
