Overview

• Location: Miller, South Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours per week: 36
• Hours per day: 12
• Work schedule: Sunday through Saturday; every other weekend and holiday

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensure for state of practice
• BLS from American Heart Association
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience in a like or related position may be helpful

Role Details

• Provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations
• Assists with formulating and updating resident plans of care
• Observes, documents, and reports resident conditions and care given
• Responds promptly to resident call lights
• Directs and assists with resident and family/significant other education
• Notifies family of condition changes
• Handles linens and soiled materials according to regulations and guidelines
• Uses standard precautions, personal protective equipment, and transmission guidelines
• Reports signs and symptoms of resident infections and ensures timely follow-up
• Uses the EMR accurately

• 80-mile local placements
• No on-call or call-back available
• If housing is used, local rates apply
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week for twelve-hour shifts, or 40 hours per week for eight- to ten-hour shifts
