CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Illinois, Peoria
Job Overview
- Perform general CT scanning procedures, including starting IVs.
- Work with all types of general CT scans using GE brand CT scanners.
- Operate equipment including GE CT scanners, EPIC, and McKesson PACS.
- Fast-paced, high acuity, and high volume environment.
- No floating or coverage of other areas required.
Schedule & Shifts
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week).
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, every fourth weekend with holiday rotation.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every third weekend with holiday rotation.
- No call or standby required.
- Holiday work is not mandatory but may be accepted if willing.
Orientation & Training
- 2 weeks of orientation (3 twelve-hour shifts per week).
- Dedicated trainer provided during orientation.
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.
Facility & Department
- Large facility with 640 beds.
- CT department has 5 GE CT scanners.
- Dress code: Normal scrubs, solid colors or some prints acceptable.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (CT) certification.
- Illinois Emergency Medical Authority (IEMA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
- Previous travel experience.
Additional Notes
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius.
- Drug-free campus policy; negative drug screen required.
- No call or holiday work required, but open if candidate is willing.
- No floating to other departments.
- Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.

- 20 weeks.
