Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Schedule: Day shifts (0630-1900), every other weekend
Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry. The unit includes 7 West, 7 East, and 5 East floors. Patient population is primarily adults with occasional pediatrics (1-5 per year). Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical care, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer.
The role involves floating to other units such as 6 East, acute rehab, and geriatric psych units.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% (open book, pass/fail)
- Valid driver’s license required at submission
- Adherence to fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
- Positive attitude, team player, and culturally sensitive to diverse populations including African American and Korean-speaking patients

- Radius rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and cannot be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated facilities
