Occupational Therapist Opportunity

Location: Lakeview, Oregon

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule Options (2 positions):

  1. Monday – Thursday, 40 hours (4 shifts of 10 hours)
  2. Friday – Monday, 40 hours (4 shifts of 10 hours)
• Work Setting: Inpatient and outpatient care

Job Summary

• Evaluate, select, perform, and direct assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, following physician’s referral.
• Collaborate with family and healthcare team members regarding patient abilities and goals.
• Must have experience working with pediatric patients.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited institution.
• Eligible for or currently hold an Oregon state license for Occupational Therapy.
• Current CPR certification required (BLS).
• Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) verification required.

Experience & Skills

• Current knowledge of Occupational Therapy related to physical disability, rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Understands team approach principles and recognizes team members’ capabilities and limitations.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect.
