Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Honakaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

• Provide emergency nursing care with the ability to multitask and work independently.
• Utilize equipment including Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems.
• Participate in Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations.
• Understand and apply core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Familiar with AIDET communication and Press Ganey patient customer service standards.
• Floating to other units/departments as needed, limited to areas within clinical competency.

Required Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Proficient IV skills.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS (all mandatory). NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory.

Schedule

• Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts.
• Scheduled for 80 hours over a 2-week period.
• One on-call shift per roster.
• At least one weekend off per roster.

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
