Director of Quality Services RN
Overview
- Contract position in Kapaa, Hawaii
- 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Role Summary
- RN leadership role overseeing quality services, patient safety, performance improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities across multiple healthcare settings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- 2 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Quality Assurance experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in leadership roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
- Previous hospital Quality Management/Quality Services leadership experience
- CPHQ or comparable healthcare quality certification
- Experience leading regulatory surveys, QAPI initiatives, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QAPI, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities
- Oversee quality-related functions including Infection Prevention, Case Management, Utilization Review, Social Services, Employee Health, and related programs
- Maintain readiness for CMS, The Joint Commission, state regulatory agencies, and other accreditation and licensing requirements
- Monitor quality and patient-safety indicators, identify trends, and develop action plans
- Lead or facilitate root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and performance improvement initiatives
- Develop and present quality dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports
- Support patient complaint and grievance processes
- Collaborate with medical staff on quality review activities, including OPPE/FPPE and other performance monitoring
- Provide education and guidance to leaders and staff on quality, patient safety, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
- Supervise and support staff within assigned quality-related departments and programs

- Position may require travel between healthcare facilities and occasional extended hours to support regulatory surveys, audits, or other operational needs
