Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Call Requirements: Yes
Float Requirements:
- Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN)
- ED holding area (as needed)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel nursing assignment
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience & Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience is required
- CVICU experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be able to manage patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, Alcohol Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
- Familiarity with Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR system
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center
- Level III Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Attendance policy allows one call-out per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and are reviewed case-by-case
- Orientation provided weekly
- Local area offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, and various dining options
- Close proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (~2.5 hours), Phoenix (~3.25 hours), Grand Canyon (~3.5 hours), Los Angeles/San Diego (~5 hours)
Notes for Candidates
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the assignment location to qualify as travel
- Submit availability matching the firm start date; early or late availability will not be considered
- Housing options are available
