Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Unit: ICU/CVICU (Blended ICU)
Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Call Requirements: Yes
Float Requirements:

Intermediate Care Unit (primary RN)
ED holding area (as needed)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel nursing assignment
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience & Skills

Prior travel nursing experience is required
CVICU experience is a plus but not mandatory
Must be able to manage patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, Alcohol Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
Familiarity with Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR system

Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center
Level III Trauma Center
Certified Chest Pain Center
No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Attendance policy allows one call-out per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and are reviewed case-by-case
Orientation provided weekly
Local area offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, and various dining options
Close proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (~2.5 hours), Phoenix (~3.25 hours), Grand Canyon (~3.5 hours), Los Angeles/San Diego (~5 hours)

Notes for Candidates

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the assignment location to qualify as travel
Submit availability matching the firm start date; early or late availability will not be considered
