Job Description

• Work on a 32-bed General Surgical Unit specializing in postoperative care for general surgical patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.
• Responsibilities include pain management, mobility assistance, and bedside procedures.
• Provide a comfortable and healing environment tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Scheduled for every other weekend and holidays as required.
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week (typically 36 guaranteed hours).
• Clinical, patient-facing position.
• Facility uses Meditech EMR.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Parking is available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry nursing within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• This is an on-site position (not remote).
