• Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with ventilator management

Unit Details

• Department: Emergency Department (ED)
• Trauma Level: Level 2
• Critical care bays: 4
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Patient population: Pediatrics to geriatrics (about 5% pediatric)
• Common diagnoses/treatment: Wide range of patients; the unit is a Level 2 trauma center, chest pain center, and primary stroke center. Teleneurology for stroke is provided in cooperation with a partner academic medical center. No PICU; pediatric patients requiring PICU care are transferred out.
• Float requirement: Travelers are required to float to ED Holding.

• Ultrasound (US), bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware handheld devices
• EHR software familiarity: Omnicell, Epic, SBAR
