RN - Telemetry

Location

Alexandria, Louisiana

Contract

13 weeks
Travel assignment
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
Block scheduling available
Must live 50+ miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Stroke experience

Unit Details

Med-surg/oncology unit
31 beds
6:1 patient ratio
Floats to other Med-Surg and Tele units

Skills and Experience

Strong physical assessment and documentation skills
Experience caring for acute care stroke patients
Time management and critical thinking skills
AIDET behaviors
Knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
Chemo experience is a plus

Work Environment

Unit secretaries available 6 am–10 pm
Techs available on all shifts
Computers and scanners in every room
Very experienced staff on every shift
