Location: Denver, Colorado

Unit Information
- Unit: Endoscopy
- Number of Beds: 2
- Staff: 9 (RNs and GI Techs)
- Day Shift Staffing: 2 RNs and Unit Manager
- Night Shift Staffing: Call only (2 RNs or 1 RN and 1 GI Tech)
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 or 1:2 (not guaranteed)
- Equipment: Olympus Scopes
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
- Average Caseload: About 10 cases per week, primarily emergencies and OR support
- Work Environment: Small, close-knit GI department with experienced staff and good relationships with GI doctors
Typical Procedures
- EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
- Colonoscopy
- ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
- EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)
- Bronchoscopy
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience within the last year
- Acute Care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
