Unit Information

• Unit: Inpatient Rehab
• Number of Beds: 35
• Patient Ratios: 5-7:1
• Unit Staffing: 2-4 techs per census
• Type of Equipment: Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
• Floating Policy: May be floated to other Med Surg departments

Patient Experience Requirements

• Preferred Experience: Rehab experience

Hiring Profile

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation experience within the last year

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Medication administration (IVs, PICC, PEG tube)
• Bladder scans
• Trach care
• Tube feeding
• Foley catheter insertion
• Bladder irrigation
• Blood administration

Dress Code

• Navy blue or white solid scrubs
