Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit & Patient Population
- Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
- Care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients
- Common conditions include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
- Average patient load: 3 high acuity patients
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (PCU/ICU nursing)
- Competent in care of medical and surgical populations
- Experience with adult PCU and community hospital ICU preferred
- ACLS certification required
- Proficient in advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
- Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics
- Skilled in managing arterial lines (a line), central venous pressure (CVP), external ventricular drains (EVD), orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols
- Familiarity with HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxypendent devices
Additional Requirements
- Epic experience is required
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
