Position Details

• Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM or 6 PM - 6 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend minimum (36 hours)
• Call Requirements: None during core hours
• Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
• Float Requirements: Occasional float to Medical-Surgical (MS) unit

Unit Information

• Unit Type: 8-bed Step-Down Unit (SCU) / Intermediate Care
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 4:1
• Patient Types: SCU, IMC, Medical-Surgical, Swing (rarely)
• Equipment Used: Ventilators, ceiling lifts, Plumb Pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, SCD boots
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience managing vasoactive drips
• Proficient with ventilators
