- Unit: Maternal Infant Unit (MIU)
- Location: 3rd Floor, Atrium Building
- Number of Beds: 24
- Number of Staff: 71
- Shift Types and Staff Roles:
- Day Shift: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator
- Night Shift: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary
- Patient Ratios:
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
- Equipment: GE fetal monitors
- EMR Systems: Meditech, CPN
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery focus
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of labor experience
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years labor experience in LDRP with high birth volumes
- Typical Procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn and post-partum care
Certifications & Licenses Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Registered Nurse License
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security
- Schedule: Every third weekend on call with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
