Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
On Call: Every other weekend and select weekdays as needed
Holiday Coverage: Possible call for Thanksgiving and Christmas; open on New Year's Day
Experience Required: 1-2 years recent acute dialysis experience
Certifications: BLS/CPR required
Preferred Experience: Previous hospital dialysis experience preferred
EMR System: Cerner preferred
Scrub Colors: Navy and White

Provide acute inpatient hemodialysis treatment
Manage dialysis access including Central Venous Catheter (CVC), Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF), and Arteriovenous Graft (AVG)
Monitor patients for complications during dialysis
Document care accurately and ensure safe and efficient delivery of dialysis therapy
Set up, operate, and disinfect dialysis machines and water systems according to policy
Utilize nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Number of beds in unit: Varies based on census
Average treatments: 40-60 acute dialysis treatments per month
Patient ratio: 1-2 patients per RN; 3-4 patients with Patient Care Technician (PCT) support
48-hour shift guarantees are NOT available
Blocked scheduling may be requested
