Travel RN Opportunity – Labor & Delivery

Location: McAllen, Texas
Unit: Labor and Delivery (14 L&D beds, 9 Antepartum beds)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Staff: 33 (RN and CST)
Day Shift Core Staff: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 1-2 CST, 1 Antepartum Nurse
Night Shift Core Staff: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 1-2 CST, 1 Antepartum Nurse
Patient Ratios:
- Labor & Delivery Final Stage or C-Section: 1:1
- Antepartum: 1:4
Equipment: Operating Room, Fetal Heart Monitors, Ultrasound
EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Labor & Delivery experience required
Preferred: BSN degree
Preferred: Additional L&D experience

Typical Procedures

Care for laboring patients
Assisting in OR with C-Sections

Certifications Required

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
