Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy
• Number of Beds: 205
• Staffing: 35 total staff

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 covering ER, ICU, and floors
  • Night Shift: Patient ratios not applicable
• Equipment Used:

  • Ventilators PB 980 and 840
  • Bipap V-60
  • Siemens ABG instruments
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Call Requirements: No
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

• Ventilator and Bipap management
• Aerosol therapies
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Oxygen therapy

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NBRC certification
• NRP certification
• PALS certification
• ICU experience
• ER experience
