Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Weatherford, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Endoscopy
• Number of Beds: 2 endoscopy suites
• Staff: 5 (Day shift: RNs only, all circulate and scrub; Night shift: on-call only)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Olympus scopes and towers; Medivator scope processing
• EMR Systems: Meditech and Provation
• On-Call Requirement: 1 weekend per month, 1-2 weeknights per week
• Floating: Possible to pre-op/PACU based on experience

Typical Procedures

• EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
• Colonoscopy
• ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Skills

• Endoscopy experience (required)
• Ability to scrub endoscopy cases and process scopes
• Pre-op/PACU experience
• Operating Room (OR) experience

Work Environment & Expectations

• Flexible shift times required due to variable case volumes (ranging from 10 to 22 cases per day)
• Friendly demeanor with excellent bedside manner
• Willingness to adapt and be flexible with workflow and assignments

Additional Notes

• Candidates without endoscopy experience will not be considered
• Travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
• Opportunity to gain hours in other procedural areas if experienced
