Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Open
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every-other weekend rotation
Call Requirements: None required
Float Requirements: RN may be floated to other departments

Experience & Certifications

Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1-2+ years of inpatient Behavioral Health experience
Required Certifications: RN license (Nevada license must be in hand or application in progress), BLS; "Handle with Care" preferred
Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required

Unit Information

Unit: Behavioral Health Unit, 3rd Floor
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
Patient Population: Adult
Common Diagnoses: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Personality Disorders, Dual Diagnosis (primary mental health)
Equipment/EHR: Vitals Machine, EMAR, Omnicell; EHR system is Med Host

Additional Notes

Scrubs required; no specific color mandated
Facility is accredited by the Joint Commission
Location offers a mix of outdoor activities and cultural events in a young community setting

This position is an urgent backfill and requires a Nevada RN license or an application in progress at the time of submission.
