Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Telemetry Unit (4B) / Medical Surgical
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Float: May float to Med/Surg or other units as needed; assignments given at start of each shift
On Call/Call Back: None
Patient Ratio: 1:7
Unit Size: 24 beds

Required Qualifications

Active Illinois RN License
Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum Experience: 2+ years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry (highest required)
Prior Travel Experience: At least one completed travel contract required (no new travelers)
Charting Experience: Meditech preferred; mandatory Meditech training required
Skills: Ability to perform phlebotomy and read/interpret cardiac strips

Additional Information

No return to office (RTO) over 7 days accepted
Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with 1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period
COVID-19 booster vaccination required unless approved medical/religious exemption
Orientation: Bi-weekly, 12 hours non-billable, GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week
Work Environment: Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging
