Schedule

12-hour shifts
Variable day and night shifts
Weekend/holiday coverage as assigned
May be low censused and placed on call
Call back minimum: 2 hours

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
1 year of Intermediate Care experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Experience

Experience with complex medical patients, including ETOH, CVA, and sepsis
Wound care and wound vac management
Antibiotic therapy
IV starts
Neuro assessments
Restraints

Unit Details

22-bed Intermediate Care unit
Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
May care for medical patients awaiting transfer
May occasionally serve as a 1:1 sitter or help with general unit support

Additional Notes

Float to inpatient units
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
Epic familiarity is preferred
Royal blue scrubs required
