Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, 44-bed Intermediate Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The unit cares for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular cases, arrhythmias, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer/defib/ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and med/surg overflow patients. Typical patient ratio is 1:4.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• On-call/call-back with minimum 2-hour callback
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (may include low census unbillable hours)

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 2 years experience in IMC/PCU/Telemetry
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment completed (prior travel experience required)
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience

• Must be resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks timely
• Scrub color is flexible
• During flu season, compliance with flu and COVID vaccination policy is mandatory; unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times
• Radius rule: Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (expired)
