Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, 44-bed Intermediate Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The unit cares for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer/defib/ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and med/surg overflow patients. Typical patient ratio is 1:4.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• On-call with minimum 2-hour callback
• May have low census hours (unbillable) with call-back pay if called in
• Must comply with flu and COVID vaccination policy or wear a mask during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 2 years Intermediate Medical Care (IMC)/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry experience
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience in Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment completed (prior travel experience required)
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience
