Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Job Description

• Position in a 10-bed ICU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) with additional float to Medical-Surgical (MS) units (34 beds).
• Shift Requirements: Variable day and night shifts.
• Float Requirements: Float to other units as needed, including possible float to MS units and facilities in Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk. Floating may be prescheduled.
• On Call/Call Back: May be low censused and placed on call; minimum call back time is 2 hours.
• Weekend/Holiday: Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 1:2
  • IMC: 1:3 to 1:4
  • MS: 1:5 to 1:6
• Charting Experience: EPIC preferred.
• Scrub Colors: Any color allowed.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays when the unit is closed and during orientation week).
• Low Census Hours: Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
• Flu Season Policy: Travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy.

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years in ICU nursing.
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required (one travel assignment preferred).

Additional Notes

• Radius Rule: Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility as of 2/27.
• Facility Float may require travel to nearby locations.
• Compliance with vaccination and mask policies during flu season is mandatory.
