Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts.
- Utilize nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver care.
- Perform all unit-specific responsibilities within the scope of service.
- Conduct initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures based on ongoing evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and support professional development.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience in the specialty.
Education
- Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
- Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Certifications & Licensure
- Illinois State RN License in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association

- Travelers will be responsible for unit keys, which must be returned at the end of the assignment. Failure to return keys within 30 days may result in a fee.
