Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift using the nursing process.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
• Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite before starting. One retest allowed; failure results in contract cancellation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or telemetry unit, with at least some experience within the last year
• Telemetry experience
• At least 13 weeks of total travel nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
