Job Title
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care
Location
Brooklyn, New York

Contract Length
Approximately 9 weeks (60 days)
Shift
- Evening Shift: 3 PM – 11 PM
- Night Shift: 11 PM – 7 AM
- 5 days per week with every other weekend required
- No Return to Office (RTO)
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
Job Summary / Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including baths, showers (minimum twice weekly), hair care, shaving, nail care, oral hygiene, and denture care
- Assist with incontinent and skin care, dressing, and maintaining residents’ clothing and environment
- Encourage resident participation in daily activities and assist with ambulation using walkers, canes, or mechanical lifts (with two-person assistance)
- Monitor bladder and bowel function, including recording and reporting bowel movements and assisting with bladder/bowel training programs
- Assist with dressing changes and care for terminally ill, isolated, debilitated, or cognitively impaired residents
- Turn and position residents every 2-3 hours to prevent skin injury and contractures; provide range of motion exercises
- Apply support stockings and splints as directed
- Respond promptly to call bells and alarms; observe and assist restless or cognitively impaired residents
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and weights into electronic medical records
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding, encourage fluid intake, and measure intake/output
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and maintain clean, safe resident environments
- Document care and communicate effectively with nursing staff during shift reports
- Monitor assigned residents every 15 to 30 minutes as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency care tasks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in New York
- Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience, including experience within the last year
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience in Long Term Care settings
