Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina

Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide competent clinical nursing care in an intensive care unit setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process. Accountable to nursing leadership and responsible for managing complex patient needs in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients with complex medical conditions, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
• Assess patient and family readiness to learn; use appropriate patient education materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and revise patient care plans.
• Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
• Anticipate and assess discharge needs, supporting patient and family advocacy.
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
• Communicate effectively within and across departments.
• Stay informed about public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting healthcare.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for North Carolina.
