Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics (Nights)
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
- Patient types include Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all Pediatric specialties
- May float across NICU, general pediatric floor, and PICU
- Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:4
- Bed size: 14
- Must be willing to float to Emergency Department to care for inpatient holds
- EMR system: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
- Minimum 24 months of combined Pediatric and/or Oncology nursing experience
- Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months (required)
- Hematology/Oncology experience (required)
- EPIC electronic medical record experience within the previous 12 months (required)
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel nursing contract within the previous 18 months (prior travel experience required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Membership or certification from APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) (required)
- Skills checklist specific to Pediatric/Oncology discipline (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)

This position is ideal for experienced pediatric oncology nurses with recent travel experience and EPIC EMR proficiency.
