Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry experience

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Ratios vary by acuity
• Weekend requirement: 4 per 4 weeks
• Float requirement: follows unit rotation; not first to float
• Unit orientation: 24 hours
• Navy scrubs

Clinical Setting

• Cardiac and stepdown patients including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, valvular disease, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, PVD/PAD, vasculitis, carotid stenosis, venous stasis, and sheath management/removal
• Common procedures include CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, Watchman, thoracic and vascular surgeries, post-cath, post-DCCV, post-EP procedures, and pacemaker placements

Additional Notes

• RTO after booking is not allowed
• Candidate will be interviewed before an offer is made
• Storm/disaster response may be required during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
