Required Qualifications

• CST required unless the traveler has worked as a tech in New York prior to 2015.
• 3 years of experience required.
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility.
• Does not accept first-time travelers.

Call / Weekend Requirements

• Call required: 6 shifts per 8-week block, including weekends and holidays.
• Weekend shifts required: 6 shifts per 8-week block, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred

• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Epic preferred.

• General OR
• Gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band, and laparoscopic-assisted cases
• Aortic aneurysm repair, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid angioplasty, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Direct laryngoscopy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and tracheostomy
• Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, and laparoscopic-assisted procedures
• Mastectomy, thyroidectomy, anterior/posterior repair (colporrhaphy), bilateral tubal ligation, cervical cerclage, and dilation & curettage
• Anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusions, craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF, spinal fusion, carpal tunnel release, and closed/open reduction of fractures
• Total hip replacement, total knee replacement, bunionectomy, hallux vagus arthroplasty/arthrodesis, and metatarsal surgery
• Colorectal robotic surgery and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Mediastinoscopy, VATS, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, lithotripsy/ultrasonic lithotripsy/ESWL, and ureteroscopy
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization process and indicators
• Aseptic technique
• Management/lead experience
• Sharps safety
• Specimen handling/labeling
• Universal Protocol (time out) procedure
