Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2.5 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Ventilator management
CVVH (continuous venovenous hemofiltration)
Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
Experience with Epic

Preferred

NIHSS

Clinical Experience / Skills

Ventilator management
CVVH
Vaccine administration
Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

Unit Details

PICU ratio: 1:1–2
Patient population includes adolescents, infants, and pediatrics
Unit mix includes PICU, Pediatric Stepdown, pediatrics, intermediate care, and med/surg
May also float to Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic

Scheduling

Every other weekend
No requests will be approved after offer
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
