Job info

Travel/contract hospice RN role in Kansas City, Missouri.
Home visits with periodic office meetings.
Assignment is split between 2 care centers in the Kansas City, MO coverage area.
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00, with on-call responsibility and weekend backup as needed.
Average patient load is 5–8 patients per day.
Weekly productivity expectation is 25 units.
Territory travel can be up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Scrubs are the dress code.

Valid RN license in Missouri.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Hospice experience within the last year.
Minimum 1 year of hospice experience or 1 year of adult home health experience.
One completed travel assignment.
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and agency-required liability insurance.
Must have license in hand; pending license is not accepted.
Must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and have used it within the last 6 months.
Must be proficient in Oasis for RN roles.
Must complete a negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start and keep it updated annually.
Must provide a physical exam within 12 months of start and update it annually.
Must provide proof of Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, COVID, flu seasonal vaccination/documentation, and drug screening per source requirements.
Two references are required.
Must verify at least 2 most recent employers, or the last 7 years if only one employer exists in that period.
Must complete required hospice-specific compliance documents before start.

Guaranteed hours are not provided.
The opening exists due to RN resignation, leaving no full-time RN care managers and 2 contract RNs for a census of 35 across 2 care centers.
Hospice experience is specifically requested for this assignment.
