Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
• Licensure: Pennsylvania license or compact license in hand
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (First-timers are welcome)
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius

Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID required (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal history search within 1 year of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education verification (transcripts/diplomas)
  • PA Child Abuse Search (within 1 year of start)
  • PA FBI Fingerprinting (within 12 months of start) – must be completed in Pennsylvania
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years of hire

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA, ARC, Military accepted)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs, must be renewed annually)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (annual certification required)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exam as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Vaccinations or documented immunity/declination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within past 10 years)
  • Seasonal Flu (vaccine or declination during flu season Nov-April)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required for this location)

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable
• Annual skills checklist required

This position is suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience, holding the necessary certifications and licensure, and able to meet the comprehensive background, health, and compliance requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
