Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Odessa, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Start date preferred within the next 3-5 weeks
- Outpatient schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Primary focus on outpatient setting with possible flexibility to acute care
- Coverage for weekends/holidays in acute care may be required
- Interview available upon candidate request
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for outpatient PT roles unless otherwise specified by recruiter
- Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist license for Texas
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted (if applicable)
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) as applicable based on setting and patient population
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (chest X-ray within 2 years if positive TB test)
- Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct-April)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or equivalent)
- Competency Exams:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/medication (if applicable)
- Documentation:
- Government-issued photo ID
- I9 or attestation
- E-Verify or attestation
- Employment application/resume
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Facility-specific documents including standards of conduct, dress code, behavior, HIPAA and safety training modules, and orientation acknowledgements
- References: Two references within 3 years of start required
