Travel/Contract CT Technologist - Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- ARRT Registered CT Technologist
- Start: ASAP (can start pending VA license; must verify VA license application)
- Weekend Night Shift: Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Experience with GE or Siemens scanners and PACS required
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with imaging procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Head (with/without contrast), Brain perfusion, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Vascular CTA, Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic
- Starting Peripheral IVs experience required
- Epic experience preferred; online Epic class provided on day 1
- First-time travelers are welcome
Required Certifications & Documents
- ARRT Registration (CT Technologist)
- VA State License or proof of application and active license from another state
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- Drug screening within 30 days of start
- Fit mask test within last 12 months
- Immunizations and titers:
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions allowed with documentation
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if applicable)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titers or vaccination)
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for CT Techs
- Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, code of ethics, dress code, parking forms, and orientation materials
Additional Information
- Unit handles approximately 130 visits per day with 3 rooms available
- Scrub color: Grey
- Flu vaccine exemptions require agency approval and documentation compliance with CMS guidelines
- Multiple mandatory competency exams and annual updates required (Core Parts I-III, medication/pharmacology competency, color blind testing)
- Online and onsite Epic training required; some candidates must complete up to 61 Epic modules before starting
- Candidate must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
- Must complete vendor access request and facility background check through HireRight prior to start
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Technologist)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid experience in advanced imaging procedures, who are comfortable working weekend night shifts and are willing to complete required training and documentation for a 13-week travel assignment in Virginia.
