Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Denver, Colorado


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography Tech)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Floating: Yes, will float within scope to meet facility needs; floating to sister facility 1-2 days per week
  • Rooms: 3
  • Visits per day: 54
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • First-timers Accepted: No

Experience & Certification Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 3 years (breast ultrasound experience preferred)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Certifications Required:
    • ARRT (Mammography)

Time Off / Scheduling Notes

  • Maximum of 10 Return to Office (RTO) days approved
  • No RTO allowed during these blackout periods:
    • December 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026
    • March 14 – March 21, 2026
    • May 8 – May 11, 2026
    • May 21 – May 27, 2026
  • Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year background check including SSN trace, state and federal checks, education verification, sex offender search, sanctions list, etc.
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • State license verification within 60 days of start (Colorado license required)
    • ACLS, BLS, and other certifications as applicable depending on unit (confirm specifics with recruiter)
  • Health Requirements:
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask types required)
    • Immunizations and titers: TDAP, TB test or chest X-ray, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
    • Drug testing within 30 days of start and annually
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
    • COVID vaccine proof or signed declination
  • Competency Exams:
    • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam annually
    • Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) annually
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam annually (if applicable)
    • OSHA mandatory training annually
  • Other:
    • Color blind exam (Ishihara test) required prior to start
    • References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, from charge RN, manager, or supervisor
    • Employment history verification for last 3 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

  • Clinician will wear gray scrubs
  • Candidate must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of start to avoid clearance issues
  • Candidates with employment gaps of 15+ days are considered new and must meet full requirements again

This position is ideal for experienced Mammography Technologists with at least 3 years of experience who are comfortable floating between facilities and working a standard weekday schedule without weekends or on-call duties.
