Job Details
- Position: RN for Arlington territory
- Specialty: Hospice care, focusing on geriatric end-of-life care
- Average Patients per Day: 5-7 (to be confirmed during interview)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the hub/office
- Locals Accepted: Yes, at travel rate
- On-call: Not required
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color (no jeans)
- Technology Provided: iPad provided; cell phone not allowed
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Flexibility: Traveler expected to be flexible with territory
- Documentation: Timely documentation and communication required
Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year recent experience in hospice nursing
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable
- Licensure: Must have license in hand and primary source verification required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Compliance & Documentation
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Virginia State Police Background Check and Sex Offender Search required for all Virginia placements
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Fingerprinting:
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint results required for Florida placements (tracking only for this role)
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 6 months of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Fit test for N95 mask within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Required immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required annually
- COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
- Facility Specific Documents:
- Photo for badge (passport-style)
- Contractor info, consent, conflict of interest, immunization statement, confidentiality and security agreement, TB symptom survey, sexual abuse policy, flu and COVID declination forms, code of conduct, and sworn statement for Virginia placements
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and other competency exams as applicable, meeting Angoff score
Additional Notes
- Must have government-issued photo ID
- Must complete all required facility-specific forms prior to start
- Timely submission of all compliance documents is mandatory
