Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Facility: University of Missouri Hospital
Job Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Level I trauma experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred (1st time travelers accepted if they have 2 years of Level I trauma experience)
- Experience with Siemens, McKesson, and Cerner systems
- Experience in Adult ICU, Pediatrics, and Adult Acute Care
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC Provider card required
- AART or ARMRIT certification (for MRI Tech)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for certain clinical areas (e.g., Cath Lab, ICU, ER)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required for ER, Pediatrics, PICU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for L&D, NICU, Postpartum, Nursery RNs
- CHEMO certification - Required for Oncology (new requirement as of 3/28/25)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required for Pre-Start ER RNs starting 11/5/2024
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - Required for L&D RNs, must be updated every 2 years
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) - Required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs (Blue Card)
- State License Verification - Missouri state license required as applicable
- National certification verification as applicable (e.g., ARRT for Radiology Techs)
Experience & Skills
- Must have trauma level I experience
- Experience with Siemens, McKesson, Cerner systems
- Adult ICU, Pediatrics, and Adult Acute Care experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred but not mandatory if trauma experience criteria met
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks required within 60 days
- International background check required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
- Missouri-specific background checks (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) required within 60 days
- Education verification as applicable (Bachelor’s degree for Medical Lab Scientist, Associate’s for Histotechnician, etc.)
- Drug testing: Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be initiated within 48 hours of signing
- Fit mask test required annually (exceptions apply for some roles)
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or titer (declinations no longer accepted for new candidates)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
Documentation & Onboarding
- Photo for badge (new candidates only)
- Employment application with detailed 7-year work history and education
- 2 professional references within last 2 years (required for non-clinical roles)
- Various facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements, new hire packets, and TB surveys
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and core competency exams as applicable
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- State license and national certification primary source verifications within 60 days of start
Additional Notes
- Candidates with positive TB tests must provide proof of INH treatment or sign facility-specific INH recommendation
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific vaccination exemption policies; medical exemptions require facility approval
- Some certifications and competencies may vary depending on specific role and patient population; check with recruiter or facility for details
