Job Description

• Provide physical therapy assistant services in a home health setting.
• Conduct home visits with periodic office meetings.
• Average patient load: 5-6 patients per day.
• Types of cases: Start of Care and Follow-Ups.
• Typical shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
• Must have reliable transportation and a current driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate (patient-to-patient travel compensated; commute to/from first and last patient is not billable).
• Local candidates accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year.
• Experience working with adult patients in a home health setting.
• Current BLS certification.

• Must complete various compliance documents and training prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Confidentiality and privacy policies.
  • HIPAA and healthcare compliance laws.
  • Home Health specific scenarios and core policy acknowledgments.
  • Code of Conduct and Employee Responsibility Agreement.
  • COVID-19 policy and attestation.
• State-specific background checks, fingerprinting, and registry searches as applicable.
• Some locations may require weekend availability or on-call duties; discuss during interview.
• Some positions may follow alternative shift schedules (e.g., 4x10s Friday-Monday).

Notes

• Guaranteed hours are not provided; if patient census is low, floating to a nearby clinic may be arranged.
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to sign new supplier packets at the start of each assignment and annually if working consecutively for more than one year.
