Job Description

Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide specialized imaging services in radiology and cardiology.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license for California.
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for Nuclear Medicine Tech roles (typically 1-2 years).
• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start.
• Primary source verification of state license required.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.
• Fit test for respirator within 6 months of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (required for agency placements).
• Required immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility policy.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity verification or vaccination.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (flu season Oct-April).
• Completion of facility-specific orientation, confidentiality agreements, and compliance documents prior to start.
• Two professional references required (Charge RN or above preferred).

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Healthcare Provider required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required unless working in ER or PACU.
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CNOR, TNCC) generally not required for this role unless specified by assignment.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exam with passing score of 80% or higher as applicable.
• Facility-specific compliance and orientation documents must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
• Respirator clearance form or equivalent required.
• Drug screen and background checks must be current and compliant with facility and agency policies.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Facility allows starting with pending education verification or diploma/transcript if necessary, but must be completed promptly.
• COVID-19 vaccination is preferred but not required as of the latest update.
