Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry

Location: Prestonsburg, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) nursing experience required.
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 or 1:6; uses Meditech EMR.
• Must float within scope of practice.
• Every other weekend shift required.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Schedule is generally 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period.
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Floating and weekend shifts are mandatory.
• PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) cannot be accommodated.
• Religious or medical exemptions for vaccines and fit testing may be reviewed onsite.
• Candidates must not be submitted to more than one job at a time.
