Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a High Risk OB Unit
  • Call requirement: Yes, as needed
  • Float requirement: Yes, to Mother/Baby unit
  • Weekend requirement: Yes, as needed
  • Scrubs provided by hospital

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in a teaching hospital setting
  • Experience with 200-300 births per month
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • FHM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • Tech Cert Verification - National
  • ARRT - Registered Echo Tech or ARRT - Mammography Tech
  • ARDMS - Ultrasound Tech-Gen
  • ASCP - Medical Technologist/Blood Bank
  • RDMS - Registered Ultrasound Tech-Vascular
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
