Location: Modesto, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a GI Lab setting. This is a travel contract position requiring flexibility for call coverage on both weekdays and weekends.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy experience, with endoscopy experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Willingness to take weekend and weekday call

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB screening and annual renewal
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season (Nov-April)
  • Negative drug test and other health clearances as required

Certifications & Competencies

  • May require additional certifications depending on unit specifics (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, NRP, EFM) — verify with recruiter or manager
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some telemetry units

  • Must review and sign facility-specific documents including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation prior to start
  • Photo for badge required
